After a well needed long night sleep we were a tad less tired than yesterday. The breakfast was great with toast, omelet and an amazing fruit salad (nothing beats a fresh tropical fruit salad).
Before lunch we spoiled ourselves with a couple of hours of Indonesian massage and pedicure. Fredde thought the pedicure was an interesting experience but refused the nailpolish, but the massage was excellent, although a bit painful at times.
We had lunch at Semestra café, it was also very good and we think Arnoud & Femia and Lina & Jouri would love it (as their specialty was vegetarian and organic made food).
After spending some time watching the rain (read downpour) we decided to go to the monkey park. We became monkey safe (no food, bottles or monkey phobia (Greet did some silent prayers though)) and then entered the park. It was amazing to see the rainforest basically inside the village of Ubud and we saw a lot of monkeys and other wildlife.
Inside the park were beautiful temples and sculptures, all inhabited with monkeys.
Some liked Greet very much
To be perfectly honest, the monkey got disappointed that Greet didn’t have any food to offer, so it buggered off…
Then the weather caught up with us… …it started to rain. A lot. More than a lot. Ok, cats and dogs a lot and after being drenched we sought shelter at a temple entrance for half an hour or so (no pics available due to Fredde’s not so brilliant mood when being soaked and freezing).
One advantage of the rain is that flowers look amazing!
After blogging a little we are now getting ready to go out for a restaurant visit (if it was exciting enough we will maybe update this post).
